Aria D'Aquisto New Yorker Archtop Guitar - Violin Burst - Made in Japan (MIJ)

The ebony fingerboard and bridge, along with the gold-plated hardware, provide a sleek and sophisticated look that is sure to turn heads. The electronics feature an easy to use tone and volume adjustment knobs to dial in your precise tone. 

This guitar has one very minor blemish of note in the lower left of the guitar (pictured). It is overall in excellent condtion, resonates and intonates well. It is currently setup with D'Addario ECG24 XL Chromes Flatwound strings. This guitar dates to the 2000's and was created by Aria.

Aria was founded by Shiro Arai (one of the pioneers of Japanese guitar manufacturing). According to the article "A Look at Vintage Japanese Classical Guitars" Shiro Arai was one of the first to bring high-end guitars to test the US market (in the 1960's) but within weeks most had exploded due to climatic differences, exposure to different climates. When he returned to Japan lobbied for the use of better seasoned lumber. These initial failures also motivated Japanese lutheirs to develop their trademark bi-laminated backs and sides and built thicker tops driven by heavier bracing, which are all designed to help them survive alien environments outside of Japan.

This guitar also comes with the original hardshell case, which has a tear on top seam (pictured). The case comes with lockable key and is overall in good condition.
